Đây là phiên bản nâng cấp đầu tiên của chiếc xe điện Ford Transit Custom, sau khi ra đời lần đầu tiên tại châu Âu tháng 11 năm 2020. Theo đó, chiếc e-Transit mới này có cải tiến lớn nhất ở hệ thống pin và bộ quản lý pin khi có thể đi được quãng đường lên tới 380 km trước khi phải sạc lại, lớn hơn nhiều so với con số 210 km ở phiên bản đầu tiên.
Ngoài ra, chiếc van e-Transit này được cung cấp bộ sạc AC có công suất lên tới 11 kW, và bộ sạc nhanh DC CCS2 với công suất cực đại lên tới 125 kW. Ngoài ra bộ pin 400C này sử dụng dung lượng 74 kWh và có khả năng cung cấp một nguồn điện AC cho các thiết bị gắn ngoài lên 2,3 kW.
Về sức mạnh, Ford e-Transit 2022 sẽ có hai lựa chọn động cơ; 217 PS hoặc 135 PS nằm trên trục sau. Hiện chiếc xe này có giá bán khoảng 63.000 euro.
